Best Running Socks
Freshy Soft Goodness

When searching for the best running socks I discovered a slightly cultish view on which pair to choose. I also found the price to be a bit high or so I first thought. I was shell-shocked to see $15 on the price tag for one pair of running socks. This was way above the $8 I spent on the six pack from Costco!

I had to research a bit to find out why the heck the were so expensive. What I found was that price was determined by a few options, including fabric, weight and pad. As you could imagine, the six pack of socks I usually buy needs to be replace fairly often if they're put through any sort of rigorous athletics, especially the constant pounding of running.

The combination of sweat, friction and grime tends to breakdown discounted running socks fairly easily. Just like a pair of shoes, elite running socks need to be lightweight, durable and have resilient fabric to provide a nice cushion for all of the pounding your feet take daily.

I want you to go through your sock drawer right now and throw out any socks with holes or that are basically wasting away. Make room for a few of the following socks, which made it through a Runners World test from 20 ultrafit runners.

Brand Model Cost
Darn Tough Vermont Run/Bike 1/4 Cushion $15
DeFeet Cloud 9 Regular Cuff $10
Bridgedale X-Hale Speed Diva and Demon $16
Teko EcoMerino Wool Ultra-Light Micro $15
Nike Elite Structure Running $16
Feetures Bamboo & Wool Ultra Light Cushion Quarter $13
Drymax 1/4 Trail Running $11.50
Injinji Performance Series Mini-Crew $12
Eurosocks Spring Silver $13
Pearl Izumi Silk-Lite and Ultra-Lite $8

I support my growing family through this website.

If you find this Best Running Socks page as helpful as a book you might have had to buy or a workshop you may have had to take, feel free to help me continue helping everyone.

If you've gotten your gear through one of my links such as Amazon or helped otherwise, you're family. It's great people like you who allow me to keep adding to this site full-time. Thanks!

If you haven't helped yet, please do, and consider helping me with a gift of $5.00.

The biggest help is to use this link to Amazon when you get your goodies. It costs you nothing and is a huge help. Amazon usually has the best prices and service, which is why I've used it since before this website existed. I recommend it personally.

Also, if you're thinking about building a website, check out Site Build It! It's how I built this website and more importantly started making additional monthly income.

Thanks for reading!
