Best Running Pants
Leave the Cotton at Home

The best running pants keep heat in and cold out. They also help warm up your legs faster. Running tights are similar - good for cold weather or warming up your body faster. You could imagine by the names that the pants are loose while the tights are, well... tight or fitted.

There are three types of pants/tights that I'll discuss, including loose, semi-loose and tight.

Loose Running Pants
I prefer the looser fit as apposed to the spandex-type style mainly because "tight" is uncomfortable for me. These are also great for the not so cold, not so hot days as they usually feature mesh ventilation. With drawstrings for a relaxed waist and loose/relaxed-fit for ultimate comfort, these are the only kind I'll buy. Of course, they're not great for longer runs. I use these for the 3- to 4-mile runs.

Semi-Loose Running Pants
Much like the loose fit, these badboys tend to fit a little more snug. Most come with built-in windbreaker material and are designed to fit your running style. All that means is they're designed with a slight curve at the bottom to swing smoothly with your stride. These are a great choice for those windy days.

Tights
These are great for winter running pants. They hold in the heat while wicking away moisture. Of course, feel free to throw some shorts over them if you don't like the spandex look!

Overall, the best men's running pants or women's running pants should let your skin breathe, wick away moisture and fit comfortably. Contact us if you have a recommendation for this list.
